Asst. Store Manager

Location: Rutland, VT

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The Assistant Store Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of the store, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive sales performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in managing the overall operations of the store, including sales, inventory management, and customer service
- Oversee and manage a team of store employees, providing guidance, coaching, and support
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability
- Ensure that the store is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing at all times
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees, ensuring they receive proper onboarding and development opportunities
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate training programs
- Monitor and analyze sales and performance data, identifying trends and implementing strategies to optimize store performance
- Assist in creating and executing promotional initiatives and marketing campaigns to drive customer traffic and increase sales
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the products and services offered, stay updated on industry trends, and make recommendations for store improvements

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably as an Assistant Store Manager or similar position
- Strong leadership abilities, with proven experience in effectively managing and developing a team
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business results
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members and customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
